notredem v3 online

It’s tough to find someone who customizes a blogging platform what way.
I’m proud of my man Dem for this.
We’ve been working together customizing MovableType for a client using CSS and hacking the basic Perl and some plugins.
He actually learned more than I did on this matter, so he deserves to be mentioned and viewed.

great job

well… this deserves: flickr babes

during the last few days I started (after months) to upload some of my pictures to Flickr.
I even got a pro account to have more uploading space etc.

searching around using the most common tags (a**, pu**y, b**t, a**l, s*x) there’s a bunch of interesting pictures coming out.

I started to enjoy that level of voyerism (if this word exists).

I ended up on “juicy carolina” ‘s account and found a comment to one of her pictures.
the comment was stating that the picture was added to Flickr Babes….
do we need to search tags on flickr to find chicks?
not anymore!

Heineken Greenspace desktop edition: my first widget

In this time of widgets fever, when everybody can’t live without desktop companions, we built a desktop application to promote our client’s activity for the greenspace project.
The tool works as a weather widget but not just that.
It provides weather conditions for the user’s location (based on user’s choice) and for the next Heineken Greenspace event’s city, Valencia (Spain) in this first edition.
It also displays a small image gallery and a tiny preview of the artists you can find on the site.
The artist is randomly picked from the site.

Nokia 770 hands on

This morning a courier rang my bell and I went to pick up this package coming from Finland.
We were expecting a few phones from Nokia for a project we’re working on.
I check the package and I found

  • Nokia 7710
  • 2 car kits
  • 1 pretty much unknown sliding phone
  • 1 Nokia 770 (yes, you got it right, the title is not wrong)

the sliding phone immediately turns out to be a prototype, when we first turn it on.
we really don’t know the name of it, but I’m sure it has the same great software the 8800 has.

the internet tablet (as they call the 770) looks like a real final production item, but removing the battery to read the info about the product, you can see the all of the following text printed on the sticker:

NOT APPROVED BY FCC
PROTOTYPE
PROPERTY OF NOKIA
NOT FOR RESALE

but let’s go through my one day experience…

Theo Jansen’s Sand Beasts. Today In Ypenburg (NL)

Haven’t posted much lately, as work is absorbing me completely, but this is worth spending some time writing.
I’m picking up a car in less than one hour to go to Ypenburg (NL) and see Theo Jansen’s “Strandbeest” lab and playground.

strandbeest_linz.jpg

I met him in Linz, as he was featured artist for Ars Electronica 2005, and there’s only one word that can describe his work: Mesmerizing.
He spent years in building these self acting machines, and the result is beautiful and hard to believe.
I suggest everybody to take a look at his work, and lucky the people who’ll be there today.
I’ll try to report when I’ll be back today afternoon.

If you’re interested here’s the site.
today the opening is 14.00 to 17.00
