Redesigning the xml feeds… more gremlins

Using this project as an excuse to learn more (and more deeply) about blogging, feeds, MT, templates and so on, is sometimes proving very challenging.
I find myself facing issues I never had to.

<link> tags that link to feeds.

different feeds that are handled differently by newsreaders.

need to change Movable Type®’s xml feeds template.

this morning I was checking my blog using NetNewsWire® (yes, I’ll keep on mentioning/linking it because I love it, and I don’t get money from ranchero to do it).

well…
instead of automatically getting the atom index as default, it got the RSS 1 feed instead.
I’m very annoyed with it, mainly because RSS1 template doesn’t include a link to the extended entry.

Now I need further investigaion on the argument.
I’ll post experiences later.
